Niger Delta Youth Group Condemns Planned Smear Campaigns Targeting National Security Figures, Reaffirms Support for Security Initiatives.

The Niger Delta Youth Congress (NDYC) has condemned what it describes as an impending smear campaign against key figures in Nigeria’s national security sector. Reports indicate that the campaign, allegedly orchestrated by faceless groups, is aimed at discrediting the National Security Adviser, the Minister of State for Defence, and the Nigerian Police.

The NDYC views this as an attempt to undermine the achievements of the country’s security agencies and distract the current administration.

In its response, the NDYC emphasized the importance of recognizing the hard work and dedication of the security agencies in maintaining peace and safeguarding Nigeria’s sovereignty. The organization criticized any efforts to politicize or discredit their work, stressing that such actions could endanger national unity and security.

The NDYC urged all Nigerians to remain vigilant and to reject any divisive campaigns that seek to create discord for political gain.

The organization reiterated its full support for the security agencies and called for collective efforts to ensure continued peace and stability across the nation.
